Troy

In this society, everyone expects a man to support his family no matter what and work to buy things for the house. Like food, car, roof, Tv, just useful things or stuff the need for their family. A man has to do everything in the family besides cook and clean the house.  At the time women couldn’t do anything really because in that time period women didn’t have a lot of rights. He is very responsible because he has money set for bills or when things break, instead of buying Tv’s or cars or just things they don’t need at all, unless he has extra money to do so.

Troy is a good man because he supports his family and pays bills and always has money to fix things. His weakness is his brother because after what happened to him, he feels like it’s his fault and feels bad all the time. Some strength is that he is very firm on what he says and does. He always thinks ahead before he does stuff or buy something. He has a lot of strengths because he lived through a lot of things so he knows what is good and not good, that’s why he is so strong about his opinions.

Our current society thinks men should have a good job, support family, pay bills, mature, etc. I think Troy would live up to it because he is a successful man and is very mature and knows what he is doing. Also if he lived in our society, he would changes ways like let his son play football instead of trying to work full-time.
